Jack Straw is well known across the country for his soapbox – or “shoutabout” – sessions in the town centre. He is the only member of parliament to take questions in this way and finds it a popular and accessible way to engage with constituents.
During the 2010 election campaign he will also be taking questions over the internet. We’re calling it Jack’s Online Soapbox. A selection of these will then be answered by Jack at his next session in the town centre, with video of the responses posted online.
