2011 Local Elections
Congratulations Councillor Iftakhar Hussain – re-elected with an increased majority!
I am grateful to the people of Bastwell for their support in this year’s election and I look forward to continuing to work hard for our community. I am proud to have represented the Bastwell Ward for a period of 6 years. This is the neighbourhood where I grew up and where most of my family and friends live.
During my many years of community service, I have gained valuable knowledge of the real needs of the Bastwell community. I was a member of the Neighbourhood Board where we helped many ward organisations and contributed to supporting environmental projects to make Bastwell a better place to live.
