Councillor for Queen’s Park ward
Mustafa was elected onto the Council in the by-election on Thursday 4th February and is looking forward to representing local residents. Mustafa said, “Having grown up in the Audley and the Queen’s Park area, I have a deep passion to give something back to the community. I feel I already know a lot of people and have a good understanding of the needs of the community. I intend to take on board these challenges and make a positive contribution by teaming up with the existing Labour Councillors to give Queen’s Park an effective representation”.

Cllr Faryad Hussain
Councillor for Queen’s Park ward
Faryad has been a member of Blackburn with Darwen Council for over 10 years, representing Queen’s Park ward throughout that time.
He is currently a member of the Planning and Highways Committee and is Labour Group spokesperson on Housing. Previously he has been a member of the Sustainable Neighbourhood Committee and also the Health and Social Care Committee

Cllr Salim Mulla
Councillor for Queen’s Park ward
Salim was first elected as Councillor for Queen’s Park ward in 1997. Since that time he has been actively involved in affairs across the ward, overseeing much Housing Market Renewal work both in the Mosley Street and central Queen’s Park areas. Salim is on the Committee of the Citizens Advice Bureau, is Chair of the Lancashire Council of Mosques and is a member of the Audley Community Association

Councillor Salim Mulla holds regular advice surgeries at the Audley and Queen’s Park learning centre, Pringle Street, Blackburn, every Monday 10am and 11am.
