I would like to say we have in Mustafa Desai not only a very good but self respected person with a huge family back ground here in the Queens Park Ward, where he grew up as a child. He has attended local Audley infant/junior school and Everton High School in early eighties with most of the lads from this area including myself who also attended these said schools.
We believe we can win this seat with Mustafa as a strong candidate, especially with the shambles of Liberal Democrats and the coalition as a whole who have messed up this ward. United we stand as Labour, United we win as Labour
Cllr Zamir Khan
Audley Councillor and Secretary of Queen’s Park Ward Labour Party
Mustafa has been active within the community for many years and in particular, he works with bereaved families helping to make sure that, at that time of difficulty, they are able to manage any issues. He gives his time to this service voluntarily and, because of this record of commitment to the community, I am confident he will make a good representative for all the people of the ward.
Cllr Salim Mulla
Councillor for Queen’s Park Ward
After the shabby way that the Queen’s Park electorate have been treated by the Liberal Democrats and their absentee councillor, Blackburn Labour Party is keen to offer a candidate who will represent all sections of the community and we believe Mustafa Desai will do just that. Mustafa is a local man with strong connections to the area and a desire to put some decency back into the Council chamber.
Phil Riley – Secretary, Blackburn Labour Party
I have been closely involved with the Queen’s Park community for many years. I know Mustafa well and he has been working very hard in the run up to the by-election. I am sure that Mustafa will make an excellent councillor for the ward.
